Bilal Ansari is a native of New Haven, Connecticut currently finishing his master's thesis towards completion of his degree in Muslim and Christian Relations and has already received an Islamic Chaplaincy Graduate Certification from Hartford Seminary. Bilal is a contracted lecturer at Bureau of Prisons as Islamic Faith Leader at Federal Correction Institution, Danbury and a contracted employee at Tunxis Community College as At Risk Student Academic Counselor/Evening Administrator.
Chaplain Bilal Ansari has authored several articles on Muslim chaplaincy in Horizons Islamic magazine, ACPE's Supervisory Chaplaincy journal and has been a contributor or feature in several others for chaplaincy and community organizing. Bilal lectures regularly about American Islam and conducts worship service lectures at several local colleges, universities and faith based organizations on Islam. Bilal Ansari is the blessed husband of Colleen Keyes and proud father of four, Qiyam, Shaheed, Sumaya and Maryam Ansari.
