Lead Refuge Ranger Toni Westland takes us on a tour through the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. While there, she talks to us about the importance of unplugging, getting outside, and silence. J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is located on the subtropical barrier island of Sanibel, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. The refuge is part of the largest underdeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. It is world famous for is spectacular migratory bird populations.
