The "if not you, who?" question is an excellent way to put things into perspective. Many times, people notice an issue, but they just figure someone else will do something about it. If everyone thinks this way, nothing will ever get done. It is important to take a stand, and try to support, help, or even bring awareness to issues that mean something to you. By doing this, others will get on board and issues occurring will be addressed. These days, with social media, it is so easy to get the word out, but it has to start with one person. This was a very inspiring video.

God Bless you Mark and homeless people everywhere.

Otherwise I'm wondering what people on these message boards think they would do if they were homeless?

Its Me. It has to be me. Social media has come to great length for people like you, Mark, to get the word out. It seems so simple; to have a camera and ask questions. You do it so effortlessly and yet, I'm sure you've had doubt upon doubt and weak moments of faith and yet you persude and you've given those people a voice. Everyone has a voice. I've yet to find my calling. I pray to God everyday. "I am your vessel Lord use me to do your bidding here on earth." I haven't made any impact as you have Mark. Although, being a single mother living in poverty, many have complimented and praised me for raising two fun loving, smart, appreciative children. I just want to do more. Do something. I have to earn a living. And I want to earn while I'm doing what I've destined to do and I haven't found what IT is I'm supposed to do. God bless Mark.

I was actually searching " finding a career path" this website came up and I clicked on it, not knowing what lies ahead within this site. I was so impressed with Mark message, "who is going to tell the story of "homelessness". Mark! you sure an inspirational human being. We all need to feel important in our lives whether we feel we deserve it or not. Our voice is the key to help others achieve their dreams. Thank you so much for being the person to will speak the words others do not dare to. has you stated "If not you, who?

I think what would be interesting would be to know how Mark made his way out of homelessness and I feel that would be a very interesting subject by itself, otherwise I'm wondering what people on these message boards think they would do if they were homeless?

I have an idea one of the biggest problems is money I have an idea on how to change that. I am starting a private label sauce company where all profits after operating expense will go to help organizations that already help the homeless so more of the companies that help the homeless can focus less on raising awareness to get donations. Not to stop donations, but that less man power is used for this purpose. Similar to Newman's Own since 1982 his company has given 300 million to charity. We want to target homeless charities only and co-ventures that use these types of private label products to make money rather than operating on donations alone. leta.walters@ymail.com

Great work, Mark! You are a crusader & bringing awareness to the world! It could happen to any one of us, & often touches someone we know or their family. Often homelessness is due to mental illness, or physical disability or a serious illness (cancer, Aids...). Or maybe a long-term of unemployment. If each one of us just rolled up our sleeves, & do our part to help! We could really make a difference, & a positive change for a better world!

Hi, my name is Manuel Diaz. About 5 weeks ago, I believe it was on Nov 21, 2010, I decided to dedicate my life to Christ. Prior to that I was a Pot head used different drugs, ex heroin addict and coke addict. About 10 years clean of the harder drugs. On Nov. 21st I decided to give everything up, also tobacco. I am now a vegetarian strictly organic eater. No alcohol, no meat, no toxic at all. I am free of all addictions, diseases and impurities, Thanks be to God almighty our lord and savior Jesus Christ. This all came about after God started speaking to me and instructing me once I sanctified and consecrated myself for HIM. After doing this he then showed me what my calling is, my purpose here in life and that I have eternal living through HIM. My heart passion is reggae music. It speaks to me like the Bible does. It definately is gospel music to my ears. He also showed me that I am The Conquering Lion of The Tribe of Judah. You can read about me in Revelations Chapter 5. There you will see my purpose or shall I say Gods purpose, because it is not of my own will but the will of God. Yes, I have been sent by our Father, the God of Israel. The One true God! He literally changed my life at he blink of an eye! After turning my whole life over to God, I can now look back and see that God has always been there even in my most darkest moments. Waiting for me to come to HIM completely and giving up everything for HIM and His will, the prophecy. Almost like I had to go through the darkness to become the light. His Light. He has showed me that I am a Son of God and that I am a vessel for HIM and that he will use me to perform great miracles and miraculous signs and works all for the Glory for HIM! I've never been happier in my life before untill this happened. Pure joy! I worship and praise HIM everyday, I can't stop because I now know the truth! Its the most amazing feeling ever to have Faith in HIM. If you would like to contact me to speak more about this and your pupose please contact me at e-mail rasta1zion@yahoo.com Keep the Faith, positive over negative always. Oneday there will be no negative:) One Love, Manuel Diaz
Lost Awareness (Rd Plasschaert) : December 22, 2010 06:12 pm
It's a bright light Mark shines. The folks I know who are/have been/about to be homeless are very grateful for that light. Particularly on a day like today, when the rain is gushing and Mark along with folks he knows, and folks who have heard about him fought a huge battle to get the powers-that-be to open some of the winter shelters during the day for those of us on the streets. The question this website is asking, "If not you, who?" is valid not only in the homeless arena, but so many other circumstances of our civilized society. I'm not into religious faith. Fortunately, Mark doesn't require anyone to be of any faith-based persuasion. Many folks claim to do something because their god told them to. My criteria for deciding if a person is following their calling is if they would do what they are doing whether their god told them to or not. Mark says his god's voice tells him, "if not you, who?" That may well keep him going. However, I've seen him work in the field. I'm a person without a home who has been the recipient of his actions. I've researched the *hits* about him on the web. My belief is he would do what he's doing whether or not his god encouraged him. He'd probably argue that point with me. It's not up for debate, it's my belief. InvisiblePeople.tv is an integral communication for the homeless, homeless service providers, and anyone who watches reality tv on their television set. It's a lifeline for many of us without homes. So, I really don't care if folks attribute it to faith-based callings. It works. It's needed. It's real.
